The Beverly Hillbillies is an American television series about a poor backwoods family who move to Beverly Hills, California, after striking oil on their land.
Patriarch Jed moves with his family into a mansion in the wealthy Los Angeles city of Beverly Hills, where he brings a moral, unsophisticated, and minimalistic lifestyle to the swanky, sometimes self-obsessed and superficial community.
