The simple steps to tune in to CTV

These are GENERAL instructions only

CTV transmits on two frequencies in the UHF band on Channel 44 and if you are in Sumner Channel 53 (Vertical polarisation). To get CTV you need a UHF aerial. If you have Sky Digital and previously had Sky UHF you will have the UHF aerial.

In most cases follow these steps to tune into CTV. If you still have the manual for your TV set(s), refer to this first for tuning in instructions.

1 Turn your television on.

2 On your remote control, press the channel button you have chosen for CTV

3 Open the control panel on your television

4 Press the “pre-set” button.

5 Start tuning by pressing +(up) on the tuning control. CTV is on the UHF band.

6
When you have found Channel 44, press the pre-set button again to lock the channel into the number you have chose for your remote.

7 You may also want to tune your video to CTV. If you have Sky UHF, assign a button for CTV on your remote. On Sky UHF remotes CTV is on PROG 44. For tuning refer to your VCR’s manual.

8 If it’s all too hard, give us a call at CTV on (03) 377 7033 or call a local television aerial installer
